Providing Firemen's

Relief Fund

Providing for the recognition of the "Bolivar Volunteer Firemen's Relief Association of Bolivar, West Wheatfield Township and Fairfield Township, as the relief fund association in the Borough of Bolivar, County of Westmoreland and State of Pennsylvania, and directing that all funds received from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in payment of the two per centum tax upon premiums from foreign fire insurance be paid to said association.

Whereas , it is provided by the Act of Assembly of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania dated the 25th day of April AD 1929, and the Act to which said Act is a supplement, that the two per centum tax upon premiums from foreign fire insurance companies shall be paid to the Treasurer of the several Boroughs, etc and that they shall pay the amount received to the relief fund associations of the fire departments duly recognized as such by the councils etc.

Section I. Be it enacted and ordained by the Burgess and Town Council of the Borough of Bolivar, County of Westmoreland and State of Pennsylvania, and it is hereby enacted and ordained by the authority of the same, that the Bolivar Volunteer Firemen's Relief Association of Bolivar, West Wheatfield Township and Fairfield Township be and the same is hereby recognized as the relief fund association of the fire department in and for said Borough: and further that all sums received from the State Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on account of the two per centum tax upon premiums paid by foreign fire insurance companies provided by said act, shall be and the same are here by directed to be paid by the Treasurer, forthwith, upon the receipt of the same to the sais relief association.
