"SECRETARY / TREASURER ORDINANCE"

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF BOLIVAR, COUNTY OF
WESTMORELAND AND THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA AUTHORIZING A SINGLE INDIVIDUAL TO HOLD THE OFFICES OF BOROUGH SECRETARY AND BOROUGH TREASURER SIMULTANEOUSLY

WHEREAS, the Borough of Bolivar ("Borough") is authorized pursuant to the Borough Code (8 PA.C.S § 1104) to appoint a single individual to simultaneously hold the offices of secretary and treasurer, and

WHEREAS, the Borough desires to do so;

NOW THEREFORE, the following is ordained and enacted:

1. The offices of Secretary and Treasurer may be simultaneously held by the same individual, if duly appointed and otherwise qualifying.

2. Notwithstanding, Paragraph 1, the offices of Secretary and Treasurer may be held by separate individuals, at the discretion of Borough Council.

3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately.

4. All prior Ordinances or Resolutions in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
