Mayor's Salary Ordinance

An Ordinance of the Borough of Bolivar, County of Westmoreland, and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, repealing the Mayor's Salary

Whereas, the Borough of Bolivar has determined that its Council serves without compensation and that it's Mayor should do so as well, and

Whereas, the incumbent Mayor in apparent agreement with the position of Borough Council has refused receipt of such compensation during his term of Mayor, by donating such salary back to the Borough; and

Whereas, Council is authorized to set the compensation of the Mayor pursuant to 53 P.S. -46003 - A of the Borough Code;

Now Therefore, the following is ordained and enacted:

A. Salary of Mayor

1. There shall be no salary nor other compensation paid to the Mayor of the Borough of Bolivar.

B. Effective Date and Repealer

1. The effective date of this Ordinance shall be January 1, 2014

2. All Ordinances in conflict with this are hereby repealed.
